Dutch travellers reached Oman in record numbers in 2025, and the reason is on the departure board at Schiphol. What most Dutch operators need now is not another destination pitch. It is a local partner who quotes in a format your product team can check, and who is standing at the airport when the group lands.
What a Dutch operator gets from us.
Arabian Wonders is a destination management company in Oman, the incoming agency and ground handler for the trips you sell. We are Scandinavian-owned and Muscat-based, operating since 2022 under the local company Ramz al Masira International LLC. You remain the reisorganisator toward your customers. We are the local supplier, invoiced net, working under your brand.
- Itinerary design from your brief, in days and hours rather than photographs. Round-trips, mountain and desert combinations, beach extensions, Salalah, private 4×4 programmes.
- Ground operations: hotels and desert camps, 4×4 fleet and coaches, drivers, guides, permits, airport meet and greet.
- FITs and building blocks: from two travellers in one vehicle with a private guide and driver. Individual modules for tailor-made programmes and family trips.
- Groups: ten or more travellers on group rates, up to sixty over several coaches, including study groups.
How we work with Dutch partners.
We work in English. In the Dutch trade that is normal, and it keeps quotes, confirmations, rooming lists and operating documents unambiguous on both sides. The office is open Sunday to Thursday, Muscat time, two to three hours ahead of Amsterdam. A brief sent before lunch is normally read the same afternoon.
A first draft comes back within one business day: a day-by-day outline, the hotel tier, the vehicle type and an indicative net rate per person. Quotes are itemised line by line so your product and operations teams can check every position, and confirmations follow in writing. We revise until the programme fits your catalogue and your price point.
On the ground, our guides are Omani and work in English. They own and operate their own 4×4s, they work the same routes trip after trip, and they report through our own dispatch system so we know where a group is during the day. If your programme carries a Dutch-speaking tour leader, they travel with the group and our guide works alongside them. That is how most Dutch group operators run Oman, and it works.

We do not soften this and we do not summarise it from memory. The source is the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and its advice for Oman has changed several times in 2026.
As of its last revision on 8 September 2026, the ministry sums up the situation in its own words:
De veiligheidssituatie in Oman is gestabiliseerd maar blijft onvoorspelbaar.
Colour code orange, essential travel only, applies to Musandam and the Yemen border area. The rest of the country, including Muscat, Nizwa, the Wahiba Sands, Sur and Jabal Akhdar, is yellow: you can travel there, with the usual alertness.
A standard Muscat–Nizwa–Wahiba round-trip therefore sits entirely inside the yellow zone. That matters commercially as well as practically, because the ministry’s own page notes that many Dutch insurers change policy terms on an orange or red advisory.

What we control: ground arrangements, guides, vehicles, hotels, and support in country around the clock. What we do not: airspace, airline schedules, and advisory changes between quote and departure. We will tell you when something moves.
Practical: visa, flights and season.
Visa
Dutch passport holders enter Oman visa-free for stays of up to 14 days. Longer itineraries use the Royal Oman Police eVisa, applied for online before departure. We confirm the current rule for each booking, since Omani entry rules do change.
Flights
Oman Air flies non-stop from Amsterdam Schiphol to Muscat on the 787, in about seven and a half hours. The route opened in July 2025 and is the main reason Dutch arrivals rose sharply that year. Other routings connect with one stop via Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Istanbul. Frequencies move between seasons, so we build arrival and departure days around the timetable you actually sell.
Season
The main season is October to April. Muscat sits between 25 and 32 °C by day, the Hajar mountains are cooler, and the sea is warm enough for a beach ending. The Dutch autumn break, Christmas and the May holidays all fall inside or at the edge of it. Salalah in the south has its own green season, the khareef, from July to September. Ramadan 2027 falls in February and March; we plan lunches and timings around it. Bookings for the '26 / '27 winter season are open now.

- Are you a DMC, an incoming agency or a ground handler?
- The same role under three names. We design the itinerary, contract the hotels, guides and vehicles in Oman, and run the programme on the ground while you sell it under your own brand.
- Can we correspond in Dutch?
- We work in English. Quotes, confirmations, rooming lists and operating documents are all issued in English so there is no ambiguity on either side.
- In which language do your guides work?
- English, as standard. German, French and Italian are available on request. Where your programme carries a Dutch-speaking tour leader, they travel with the group and our guide works alongside them, the same arrangement we already run for Scandinavian and German groups.
- Do Dutch passport holders need a visa for Oman?

- Who is liable for what?
- You remain the organiser toward your customers under the Dutch implementation of the Package Travel Directive. We contract as your local supplier and ground handler in Oman. Our terms, payment schedule and cancellation conditions are on the Working with us page.
- What can you tell us about sustainability in the supply chain?
- Our guides are Omani, they own and operate their own vehicles, and they are paid directly for the work. Accommodation is contracted locally and invoiced at hotel cost. If you run Travelife or the ANVR’s DTO programme and need a supplier questionnaire completed, send it and we will fill it in properly. We do not hold a certification of our own and we will not imply one.
- How fast do you quote, and how are prices structured?
- Arabian Wonders replies within one business day, with questions or a first routing. The priced quote follows once availability is confirmed: day-by-day outline, hotel tier, vehicle type and an indicative net rate per person, itemised line by line, with confirmations issued in writing.
- Can you handle FITs and groups? What about MICE?
- Yes, FITs and groups are our main product: from two travellers in a private 4×4 to coach groups of sixty and study trips. Vehicles, guides, permits, desert camps and airport meet and greet are all handled by our team in Muscat. MICE is not our core business and we do not claim a track record in it, but we are glad to look at an incentive or conference brief and tell you honestly whether we can run it well.
