I About us

A Scandinavian-owned DMC
in Muscat since 2022.

The company behind the quotes, the people who answer them, and the paperwork that lets a European operator sell Oman without worrying about the ground.

Updated

The company.

Arabian Wonders is a Scandinavian-owned destination management company (DMC), the incoming agency and ground handler for Oman, based in Muscat since 2022 and operated by Ramz al Masira International LLC. We plan and run tailor-made itineraries, group tours and MICE programmes exclusively for travel agencies, tour operators and travel designers, primarily in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, then the rest of Europe and premium agencies in the GCC. We correspond in English, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Arabic; German-, French- and Italian-speaking guides on request.

We are B2B only. Arabian Wonders does not sell to the public and does not accept a direct booking from a partner's guest. Your guests see your brand on the documents and your name on the airport sign; we stay in the background and run the trip.

Around 85% of bookings, give or take, come from operator partners who have booked with us before. That number is the one we watch. A first booking is usually a single FIT or a small group; a series contract follows when the first one went the way the brief said it would.

II The team

The people.

Five people in one office in Al Hail. Sales and administration answer your emails; operations run the ground. Everyone has met the guests.

  • Portrait of Tom Egill Tobiassen, CEO.

    CEO

    Tom Egill Tobiassen

Norwegian, Muscat-based. Founded Arabian Wonders to give Nordic operators an Oman partner that works the way they do: net rates, straight answers, and documents in the format their operations teams expect. Loves Omani history and culture. Speaks Scandinavian, English, and enough Arabic to be polite.

  • Portrait of Hadil Nasser Aljabri, Sales & administration.

    Sales & administration

    Hadil Nasser Aljabri

Omani national and the fixed point of the office. Hadil handles quotes and confirmations, and knows every hotel manager in Muscat by first name. The reason a brief sent in the morning has a routing back by the afternoon, and the reason the paperwork is right the first time, not the third.

  • Portrait of Alvilde Tobiassen, Sales.

    Sales

    Alvilde Tobiassen

Norwegian. Alvilde turns a partner’s brief into the itinerary the partner meant: day by day, hotel by hotel, with honest drive times and the free afternoons where they belong. Patient with edits, including the fourth round. If a routing on this site made you want to go, Alvilde probably wrote it.

  • Portrait of Nasser Masoud Al-Jabri, Operations manager.

    Operations manager

    Nasser Masoud Al-Jabri

Nasser runs the ground: drivers, vehicles, guides, camp and hotel check-ins, and the daily call that confirms tomorrow is still tomorrow. When a wadi closes or a flight lands late, the rerouting is Nasser’s, and it is usually done before anyone in Europe has finished their coffee. Second step in the escalation chain, after the guide.

  • Portrait of Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Rawahi, Guide & administration.

    Guide & administration

    Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Rawahi

Ibrahim splits the week between the road and the office: guiding groups through Nizwa, the Hajar and the Sharqiya Sands, then back at the desk turning confirmations into vouchers, rooming lists and driver sheets. The one person who knows both what the document says and what the day actually looked like.

III The paperwork

Licence, insurance and how we are paid.

Yes. Arabian Wonders trades as Ramz al Masira International LLC, a company registered and licensed in Oman, and is insured for its ground operations. Licence and insurance documents are provided to partners on request. Travellers must still hold their own comprehensive travel insurance, which is a condition of booking.

Arabian Wonders quotes net rates for you to mark up; we do not pay commission on top of a gross rate. Quotes are issued in US dollars and show Omani VAT at 5% as a separate line. A quote is valid for up to 30 days, and hotel space is subject to availability until the deposit is received. Seasonal supplements for Christmas, New Year and Eid are shown on the quote, never added afterwards.

Deposit, balance and cancellation terms are on the working with us page, and in full on the terms & conditions page.
